“I spent years searching for “The Truth.” Slowly I began to realize that there was no such thing as the truth, that the truth was relative.

What is true for me today may not be true tomorrow. At first I resisted the idea that there was no ultimate truth but once I embraced the idea I found a profound sense of peace. It became much easier for me to change my beliefs and let go of what I had once believed was the truth.

“When I lived in Vermont I loved sitting in my living room with the fire burning watching snow flakes drifted past the outdoor lights. After a snow fall, if it was really cold the moonlight would create diamonds in the snow.

It was beautiful. When you would walk on the snow it would crunch underfoot and the world would sound silent and still.

Where can you see diamonds in your life instead of experiencing lack or limitation?

Appreciate this glorious experience called life, savor it and honor it.

Focus on changing what you can: your beliefs, agreements and assumptions.

Make your choices based on love and learn how to act rather than react.

“I often tell my students trying to understand a situation or a particular behavior is the booby prize. Understanding simply gives us excuses and reasons for remaining the same. Understanding still keeps us within the realm of our filter system.

Observing a behavior and deciding to get a different outcome takes us beyond our habitual thinking. Asking yourself questions like: How else can I see this? What is the most loving thing I can do? What is it I really want to create?

Curiosity and expanding your awareness will help you to create different outcomes so you can change your life.

“Talk about unconditional love! Even if I just go out for a few minutes I get a joyous greeting from my dogs.

Imagine if we were willing and able to simply ask to be loved like they are? What if we asked people to pat us and love us whenever we wanted to. What if we greeted our loved ones joyously whenever they came home and we never stayed mad at anyone?

As a friend often reminds me, dog is god spelled backwards. We can learn a lot from animals if we are willing.

“It is so easy to get distracted and that is often how we create what we ‘don’t’ want. We say we want to create something and then get distracted by our old thoughts and way of being. So, we create more of the same old same old.

Consistently focusing an what we do want will allow us to create what we want. Remembering to connect with our spirit will lead to more happiness and joy. Distracting ourselves from that connection will lead to drama.
